Linn County Elections is recruiting about 700 new workers for 2020. Having a full complement of well-trained poll workers is vital to the smooth and fair conduct of all elections and this will be a very important year.
Precinct Election Officials - "PEOs", earn $200+ on Election Day for assisting their fellow voters in compliance with current elections laws and also get paid for mileage and training. Additional information and an online application are available via linncounty.org/402.

Linn County American Legion Auxiliary President jackie Tyne and Linn County Secretary Treasurer Carmella Davis attended the January 2nd meeting of Springville American Legion Auxiliary Unit 331 to recognize their results for the membership year 2019-2020.
Unit 331 received certificates of recognition for reaching membership benchmarks & 100% goal by June 2020. Unit 331 met 100% of this goal October 4, 2019. This was due to a "Group effort" per Membership Chair Marilyn Andersen.
Unit 331 has 96 total members: 13 Junior (18 years and under) and 83 Seniors. If you would like to be part of the American legion Auxiliary you can visit the Department of Iowa website: https://iowaala.org for more information and find a unit near you.
Springville Unit 331 meets at 6 p.m. the 1st Thursday of the month at the Springville American Legion.
